Nature and extent of collection
150 pieces. Corby Borough Council will only collect material from the council’s administrative area, only collecting items proven to be of exceptional or unique importance and that relate to previous collecting.
Material will only be collected that falls within the themes of current collections, geology, archaeology, art and social history.
Future collecting will focus on Victorian material, steel works material, etc. Material relating to migrant history of Welsh, Scottish, Irish, Poland, Latvia and other migrants who came to the town via the steelworks.
Roman artefacts is a priority area to collect with regard to the Weldon Roman Villa site and Roman Road through Corby

Have there been numismatic exhibitions in the past? If so, what? We exhibited the Hallaton Hoard travelling exhibition in 2014.
