Is there a study facility? Yes.
Is equipment (balances, magnifying glasses, etc.) provided? Yes - a working area, gloves and magnifying glass can be provided.

Is there a handling collection? Yes. It is comprised of replica medals which are used for events.
Are numismatic collections used in Education sessions? Yes, numismatic objects are used in heritage-run education sessions.
Do numismatic collections feature in gallery talks, lectures? Occasionally numismatic objects are brought out during tours of the Heritage Store.
Are there other engagement activities based around numismatic collections? No.

Does the museum offer a service for identifying objects and other public enquiries? Yes. We respond to both internal and external email, phone and written enquiries.
Is there any numismatic expertise in-house? If so, who, and in what areas? Heritage Collections Officer has previously managed collections which contained coins, medals and communion tokens, but is not a specialist in this area.
Is there access to external expertise? If so, who and in what areas?Yes, we have access to a team of Heritage advisors who have a wide range of relevant experience.
If there is expertise in-house, is there a willingness/capacity to share that with other museums? We are members of the South Western Museums Federation through which we share our experience and knowledge with other museums. We also respond to external enquiries from individuals and organisations.
