Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery

Chelmsford Museum

Chelmsford Museum dates back to 1835 and has varied displays, including coins. The Essex Regiment Museum, whose collections are owned by separate Trustees, tells the story of the County Regiment from its formation in 1741.

 

Colchester Museum

They say 'The collections in Colchester and Ipswich cover both human and natural history. These collections are full of objects which tell us not only what life was like thousands of years ago but also about life today.'

 

Epping Forest District Museum

Based in a lovely historic Tudor building in Waltham Abbey with many family friendly resources, you will find permanent displays of important finds from the district as well as a number of special exhibitions.
