MONEY & MEDALS
The Money and Medals Network is a Subject Specialist Network that aims to enhance knowledge and understanding of coins, medals, tokens and paper money in British collections.
Funded by the British Museum, Arts Council England and The Vivmar Foundation the Network aims to facilitate dialogue and debate around research methodologies, interpretation, display and learning programmes.

Money and Medals Day Conference – booking now open!
Booking is now open for the Money and Medals Day Conference due to be held at the British Museum on the 23rd of March 2018. Marking three years of funding from Arts Council England and celebrating recent Network activity, this event will feature themed sessions on collections mapping, numismatic networking, education and outreach projects and innovative numismatic displays. The day is free to attend and open to anyone working or volunteering with numismatic collections in UK museums and other public institutions. Money and Medals Northern Ireland training: English and Irish coinage
The next training event to be held by the Northern Ireland Money and Medals Network will focus on the identification of English and Irish coinage. Led by the British Museum’s Dr Barrie Cook, this free event will be held at the Ulster Museum on Friday the 9th of February 2018. Further details will follow in the New Year, but this event is open to anyone working or volunteering in museums in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, so please spread the word!
