Are there permanent numismatic displays? Yes as part of medieval case displays.
Is numismatic material incorporated into more general displays? Yes this is the only way we display numismatics.
Is there a facility for temporary exhibitions? Yes we hold two temporary exhibitions a year.

Is there a handling collection? No, but we do have some replica coins for use by schools.
Are numismatic collections used in Education sessions? Yes our education team have bought replica sets of Anglo Saxon, Greek, Viking, Roman and Elizabethan coin sets for their loans boxes that go out to schools.
Do numismatic collections feature in gallery talks, lectures? Not really. They are mentioned if a volunteer talks generally to visitors about our permanent display cases of which they feature some Elizabethan and Norman coins.

Does the museum offer a service for identifying objects and other public enquiries? Yes we do. The Collections manager carries out this duty.
